Jamies Shorthair on Point Other Dog Tips

  1. The most important command for a flushing dog is to sit on the whistle. A dog that cannot be stopped will flush birds out of range, resulting in missed opportunities and frustrations.
  2. Carry an extra whistle inside your vest - in case your primary whistle freezes up.
  3. Carry sufficient water for you and your dog - especially in the dry hot days of early season. A heavy duty ziplock freezer bag works great for your dogs bowl.
